Why CursorCast

Your work does not stay on one screen. Your recording should not have to.

A

Stop restarting screen shares

Follow the pointer across only the displays you allow, while viewers keep seeing one stable window.

B

Keep private apps private

Uncheck sensitive applications. If one appears over your shared display, CursorCast masks the space it occupies.

C

Record and share together

Save a local MP4, show CursorCast Live in Discord or another meeting app, or do both in one session.

The real macOS app

Everything important is explicit before you press Start.

Choose the output, capture boundary, allowed screens, protected applications, resolution, frame rate, and audio from one control window.

Three clear steps

Choose. Start. Share.

  1. 01

    Choose the result

Select Record, Live Share, or Record + Live. Your local recording and meeting output stay separate and predictable.

  2. 02

    Set the safe boundary

Allow specific displays or apps, pick a single window, and uncheck anything that must be masked when it appears.

  3. 03

    Share one stable window

In Discord, Meet, Zoom, or Teams, choose CursorCast Live from the normal window-sharing picker.

02 / PROTECT

Mask apps that should never appear

The mask is applied before frames reach the recording or CursorCast Live output.

03 / OUTPUT

Use the workflow you need today

Record a tutorial, present live, or keep a local copy of the same session while you share.

04 / AUDIO

Keep recording audio under your control

System audio and microphone settings remain explicit. Discord system-audio relay is clearly labeled experimental.

Privacy model

Your screen is not our dataset.

Video capture, privacy masking, compositing, and MP4 output happen on your Mac. The beta recorder does not require a CursorCast account.

Local

Your recording stays on your Mac in the folder you choose.

Visible

Capture sources, protected apps, audio, and output mode are selected before Start.

Fail closed

When protected-window geometry cannot be resolved safely, CursorCast masks the full display.

Beta boundaries

Ready to test. Honest about what is next.

Quick answers

Before you install.

Does CursorCast replace Discord, Meet, or Zoom?

No. Keep using your meeting app. Choose the separate CursorCast Live window when you share your screen.

Can I keep recording without live sharing?

Yes. Local recording remains the default. Live Share and Record + Live are optional session modes.

Does protecting an app also remove its audio?

No. Protected Applications is a video privacy control. Configure system audio separately in the Audio tab.

Why is this called a beta?

The core recorder is available for testing, while broader meeting-app compatibility, Windows, and update delivery are still being validated.
